[edit]Please notify users about problems with their files. Help:Gadget-UserMessages is very helpful for this purpose. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:41, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi EugeneZelenko - the image that I most recently tagged was one uploaded by a student in a class I'm helping with. From my experience they tend to almost never check messages on the Commons and in general respond best when I leave them messages on their userpages on Wikipedia, since they're far more likely to see the notifications about Wikipedia talk page messages. In this case I've left a message for the user and their fellow group members here. Long story short with that message, the students ended up making an article that was nominated for a speedy and I transferred it to the main student's userspace for improvement. Rather than leave individual messages I figured that I'd leave one big message and tag them all in it with an explanation of the image. If one of them sees it, then I know they'll spread the message even if the others ignore the message. (sigh) Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:58, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
