Shovelling again?
Hi Ingeborg and Hans!
Are you also shovelling snow in Munich or has the early winter not reached so much south yet? Here, it is cold with lots of snow. Today it is also sunny and thus very pretty. Best wishes from Denmark --Slaunger (talk) 12:28, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- And this evening it is really cold. But I had to try my new Manfrotto tripod . --Slaunger (talk) 21:23, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- Dear Kim, how nice to hear from you and to see the Danish snow! It looks like our snow
- Congratulations for your new tripod! Hans also has a heavy Manfrotto tripod among others. Yes, we also had some snow in Munich and had to shovel, but only about 15 cm. Here you can see two pictures from our garden yesterday. One shows the main portal of our pergola with stained glass paintings by Hans, the other our Lyrikon, a garden house in mediterrean style with a lot of poems on the walls, stained glass windows and ceramics by me. Do you live in Viborg? Nice illumination! Hope you are not too busy in these days before Christmas. Kind regards! Ingeborg --Schnobby (talk) 09:32, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. That is a very nice garden you have there with absolute wonderful stained glass. Wow. 15 cm of snow. That is quite a lot for Munich this time of year is it not?
- I send the swing photo to our local newspaper yesterday, and as I came home from work today and browsed its pages it was suddenly there in print with a nice text and attribution as the photo of today.
- The christmas illumination is brand new. It is using Light-emitting diodes as the light source and will — due to a lower power consumption — save the environment for 14.5 ton/year of CO2 emissions as compared with the illumination from previous years. Of course, even more could be saved by omitting it entirely, but that would really be dull in these very dark months of winter.
- I'm kinda busy. Big milestone review at work tomorrow. But, and this is very unusual for me, I have finished my preparations already. --Slaunger (talk) 19:09, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

- Hi Kim, what a surprise for you to see your swing photo in the Viborg-folkeblad! What about new snow in Viborg? We had 8 or 10 cm more yesterday, but the temperature is not too low now. I like snow in the garden and shovelling is our winter sport, as you know. Today you had your big milestone review and I hope everything went fine. I had a look at the category:Viborg and your explanation of the Christmas illumination; very interesting! Yes, we have a nice garden with three little pavilions and a pergola, everything with stained glass paintings and ceramics. In the warm seasons we often go from one hut to the next, in the Chinese pavilion we drink tea, in the Lyrikon we have dinner - it depends on the wind. Have a nice evening! --Schnobby (talk) 17:17, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
- Hi Ingeborg, The milestone review went very well, thank you. Only a little more snow in my area today. We are expecting down to -15 °C Friday night, brrrr. Islands south of Zealand (Sjælland) hit much worse by snow storm today, see here and here, for example. I am confirmed that it must be a very nice garden you have. I also wish you a nice evening in Munich as well. --Slaunger (talk) 18:48, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
