Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

File:Austroraptor Height Chart.png has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Notification about possible deletion
[edit]Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

I see you uploaded this file. Stating that the image is "free to use throughout the Internet" is not the same as saying, "I own the copyright because I created the image" or as saying, "I have evidence that the original copyright holder has released the image into the public domain and here is a link proving this." Not knowing who the author is does not give us the right to host the image— if we do not know the author, and can find no specific evidence that the image has been released under a free license or is in the public domain, we do not host it. Thanks! KDS4444 (talk) 14:02, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Deleted your uploads
[edit]Th files that you have uploaded are all claimed as being under copyright at the source site, and under scope they should not be uploaded. Please read the above links about copyright, and what can be uploaded. Until you have done that and understand the restrictions please do not further upload. Further uploading of copyright images is likely to see you blocked. — billinghurst sDrewth 09:15, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- If you have evidence that they are able to uploaded please request undeletion at Commons:Undeletion requests. — billinghurst sDrewth 09:17, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Excuse I would like you to repost my images back. As I've notified when I uploaded these, they're aren't entirely my work, but in all due respect I indeed my made most of them, if you're going to claim that most of them aren't mine and I've violated rules that you have discriminated me and my work.--SaiyansOnSegways (talk) 12:50, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- I make no claims about the works that you uploaded beyond that the links for the sources state that they are covered by copyright. The conditions for upload I have pointed to and uploads need to meet those conditions. From what you have just said, you don't own complete copyright on those works, so they are not eligible for upload. That being the case you will need to utilise Com:OTRS for yourself and other authors to put a free license on these works. There are no exceptions to complying to the conditions for upload.
On an aligned matter, some of the uploads do seem to be more personal art, then educational images (again refer to Scope), and such should not be uploaded. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:05, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Nothing to suggest their personal.
- There is nothing to suggest they are personal. Most of my infographs are for educational purposes. If you're insinuating that my content to be aligned as being personal. Then I'm to say that you are mistaken. And furthermore I said I don't own the work, to give to the other owners and to link the sources; as foremost by removing my infographs you performed misjudgment.--SaiyansOnSegways (talk) 14:43, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Please try not to split conversations, if you want to get my attention, then please use a template like {{Rto}} — billinghurst sDrewth 14:50, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Now you are being argumentative.
Your uploads do not give clarity that they are within scope, and they in fact clearly indicated copyright work, for that they were deleted. I gave you the courtesy of explaining the process, and I have directed you above to where to have the discussion about undeletion, so please utilise that process. I have given you the links to that describe what is required for uploads at Commons. We cannot host work at Commons that does not meet these requirements. — billinghurst sDrewth 14:56, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
