Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open!

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2017 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in R2.

Dear SANtosito,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.

Mała niezgodność w mapce Tarnowskich Gór

Cześć! :) Dałbyś radę poprawić tę mapkę Tarnowskich Gór? Chodzi o zachodnią granicę między Śródmieściem-Centrum a Osadą Jana - jest niezgodna ze statutem Osady Jana i statutem Śródmieścia-Centrum; powinna biec tak jak wąskotorówka, a nie jak ul. Bytomska. Prośba o mapę

Hej, mógłbyś może zrobić mapkę tego typu dla powiatu prudnickiego? Jego obecna mapa lokalizacyjna jest zrobiona z OpenStreetMap i jak ją aktualizowałem 2 lata temu to chyba delikatnie popsułem współrzędne. Te jakie zrobiłeś dla brzeskiego i kluczborskiego są bardzo fajne. Zająłbyś się tym? --ElCet (talk) 19:13, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

Mapa administracyjna woj. mazowieckiego

Hej, czy masz w planach stworzenie mapy województwa mazowieckiego w tym samym stylu co File:Pomeranian Voivodeship administrative map.svg? Z tego co widzę tylko jej brakuje, a szkoda, bo pozostałe są świetne :) Pozdrawiam, Delta 51 (talk) 22:57, 7 March 2021 (UTC)

Hi,
I don't know if you'll come back on this project, but I wanted to thank you for your topographic maps on US states in the beginning of this year (useful for location maps, I inserted them in geoloc templates on WP:fr yesterday), and all your maps in general. If one day you do the topographic maps for Delaware, West Virginia and Wyoming, you can warn me.

Map request

SANtosito, I admire your SVG maps such as File:USA Ohio relief location map.svg, and want to use them in numerous Wikipedia articles relating to the history of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, western Pennsylvania, and Upper Canada, essentially the area covered in this png map. I started to "stich together" your maps of Ohio and Indiana, but then I realized you have not uploaded similar maps of some of the states, such as Michigan and West Virginia. Właściwości mapy

Cześć, z tego, co przeczytałem, obracasz się w QGIS-ie. Mam pytanie - czy mógłbyś podzielić się wiedzą, jak do mapy okręgów wyborczych dodać punkty symbolizujące liczbę mandatów i ich przydział do poszczególnych partii? Request - Driftless Area

Hello! I've seen some of your very high-quality topographical maps, such as File:USA Wisconsin relief location map.svg. I was wondering if you would be willing to make a map that shows the extent of the Driftless Area - it's a topographic region that covers parts of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois. It shows up pretty clearly on your Wisconsin map already, actually - all those little hills and river valleys in the southwest part of Wisconsin close to the Mississippi River. The only issue with the Wisconsin map is that it highlights Wisconsin, of course, while the Driftless area covers parts of four states. You can also find many copyrighted maps of the Driftless area on Google to give you a sense of its extent. If you do make a map, thank you! If not, no worries and happy mapmaking!
