More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). Hi!
[edit]Cold you please have a look at this photo of yours? Did you accidentally add a delete tag? If not, please follow the instructions given and add reason and subpage so we can process your request. Or just remove the delete tag if it was an accident. Thanks a bunch! --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 05:49, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
Adding a category to an image
[edit]What's the point of adding a category to an image if you are not going to create the category? - Jmabel ! talk 00:09, 6 August 2018 (UTC)
File:NDP signs.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Categories help
[edit]Hi there, I see you do a lot of work with categories so I’m reaching out about this edit—do you mind explaining to me what the problem was with the categories you removed, so I can avoid repeating the problem in the future? Thanks very much. Innisfree987 (talk) 02:42, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for the question! There were no problems with the categories you used. I just created a category for Kim TallBear, and that's where I put the categories I removed. I hope that explains it. Thanks!
- Oh thanks so much—very much explains it, and definitely good for me to know for the future. Great to save the trouble of applying all the same categories every time there’s a new photo of someone. Thank you, really appreciate your taking the time to explain! Innisfree987 (talk) 10:51, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- You're welcome! Take care.

Mount Benson has been listed at Commons:Categories for discussion so that the community can discuss ways in which it should be changed. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this category, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for discussion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it. If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. In all cases, please do not take the category discussion personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you! |
