Hekwerk bij Kapelstraat 25

Hey, weet je zeker dat het hekwerk niet hekwerk moet zijn dat meer bij kasteel Heeze hoord, zoals misschien het hekwerk op deze foto --Vera (talk) 18:42, 5 October 2011 (UTC)

Ik ga er nog eens kijken. De "Rijksdienst voor het cultureel erfgoed" beschrijft het wel als:

Eenvoudig smeedijzeren hekwerk, omgaande langs de weilanden die gelegen zijn langs de oprijlaan. Het hek dateert uit ca. het eerste kwart van de 20e eeuw. Houten hekwerk met smeedijzeren beslag nabij de toegang aan de Boschlaan en een dito nabij de toegang tot de Engelse Tuin. De hekwerken zijn verbonden met bakstenen hekpijlers.

De foto is genomen vanaf de Boschlaan: misschien is er een betere foto mogelijk met een stuk van het houten hekwerk.

In de tekst over de bruggen van dezelfde dienst staat

De huidige 19e eeuwse brug is voorzien van een klinkerbestrating, bakstenen keermuren en fraai vorm gegeven siersmeedijzeren leuning op hardstenen basementen.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Wiki Loves Monuments NL

Beste Rosemoon,

Alle winnende foto's van Wiki Loves Monuments 2011 zijn ondertussen gedrukt als kalenders.

Wikimedia Nederland stelt er hier 100 van beschikbaar voor alle uploaders van de afbeeldingen. Geef op de bijgevoegde link je naam en adres en we sturen je kosteloos een exemplaar toe, als dank voor je deelname! Let op: op = op!! Bestel hier één kalender per adres.

Ook dit jaar zal er in september weer een Nederlandse Wiki Loves Monuments plaatsvinden, als onderdeel van de internationale wedstrijd. Meer informatie vind je tegen die tijd op http://www.wikilovesmonuments.nl/.
Ook zoeken wij nog vrijwilligers die het leuk vinden om mee te helpen met het organiseren van de landelijke wedstrijd of van locale evenementen (een "Wiki takes..." in je eigen woonplaats dus!). Meer informatie daarover vind je op de wiki van Wikimedia Nederland.

Beste Rosemoon,

Weet je zeker dat dit het voormalige postkantoor van Geldrop is? hier wordt die namelijk omschreven als direct grenzend aan het voormalig stadhuis, net zoals de remise. Foto 2 lijkt die remise te zijn, al moeten het wel kleine trams/bussen zijn geweest. Maar het heeft ten minste wat ingangen kunnen zijn geweest aan de voorkant. Blijft aan de andere kant foto 3 over, wat toch niet op wat jij gefotografeerd hebt lijkt. --Vera (talk) 21:43, 23 March 2013 (UTC)

Beste Veertje,

Je hebt vast gelijk, G1.1 moet rechts om de hoek van het oude raadhuis en in de Hofstraat zijn. Het is naar ik aan neem al te zien op foto 3. Fijn dat je een lijst met gemeentelijke monumenten van Geldrop hebt gemaakt. Met zonnig weer zal ik nog eens een rondje door Geldrop maken om de ontbrekende monumenten aan te kunnen vullen. Vraag is nu welk adres er wel hoort bij dit pand, Heuvel 22 of 23 lijkt het niet te zijn. Het pand maakt wel een monumentale indruk, maar matched ook niet een van de rijksmonumenten.

Met het efgoedproject ben ik bezig lijsten van gemeentelijke monumenten over te zetten. De PDF met de lijst voor Mierlo heeft een rare bug waardoor er niet uit gekopieerd kan worden, ik heb daarom de gemeente gemaild.--Vera (talk) 12:40, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Ik vermoed dat Heuvel 94 niet juist is, dat is de bibliotheek aan de westkant van het plein. Het pand dat ik gefotografeerd heb staat aan de noordkant, is nu hotel Nyver en zit vast aan de oude remise en het raadhuis. Zou het in de gemeentelijst niet G4.3.01 Villa Heuvel 1 kunnen zijn? Het adres zou nu 1a moeten zijn. Op het pand zelf was geen adres te vinden. Rosemoon (talk) 13:06, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Ik heb het nagevraagd bij de gemeente, en je had toch gewoon gelijk in eerste instantie: het herenhuis en het voormalig stadhuis hebben allebij hetzelfde adres, alleen het herenhuis is een gemeentelijk monument en het andere een rijksmonument.--Vera (talk) 16:05, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

Commons navigatie in english

Dag Rosemoon, de navigatiesjablonen op commons dienen toch in het engels te zijn: dus niet "Gemeenten in Noord Brabant" |{{tl:Gemeenten in Noord Brabant|prefix=:Category:Gemeentelijke monumenten in |suffix=}}. --Havang(nl) (talk) 09:35, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Volgens mij worden navigatiesjablonen eigenlijk alleen maar gebruikt op wikipedia, niet op wikimedia commons. Hoe komen we eerst aan duidelijkheid daarover? --Havang(nl) (talk) 10:15, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

Ze worden ook op commons wel gebruikt, zie bijvoorbeeld de categorie "Cottages in North Yorkshire". Los daarvan vind ik het zelf gemakkelijk navigeren en ziet het er ook netjes uit. Rosemoon (talk) 21:03, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

Duplicate templates?

Template:Gemeenten in Zuid-Holland and Template:Municipalities in South Holland look like duplicates. Shouldn't they be merged? WhisperToMe (talk) 08:57, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

The English name can be redirected to the Dutch name or vice versa. I also set one up so that the name displays in either English or Dutch WhisperToMe (talk) 02:03, 31 August 2015 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Monuments 2017 is weer begonnen!

Beste Rosemoon,

Wiki Loves Monuments 2017 is vorige week begonnen! Aan deze fotowedstrijd nemen dit jaar 54 landen deel, waaronder bijvoorbeeld Nederland, Groot Brittannië, Thailand, Rusland, Oekraïne, maar ook de eilanden Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Sint Eustatius en Sint Maarten in de Nederlandse Caribean. Je wordt dus van harte uitgenodigd om te kijken tussen de deelnemende landen of jouw vakantieland er ook bij zit dit jaar en je foto's uit die landen ook te delen!

Net als voorgaande jaren hebben we prijzen voor de mooiste foto en de meeste foto's en een keus gemaakt voor een speciale categorie. Heb jij een foto gemaakt van een monument waarvan voor 1 september 2017 nog geen afbeelding op Wikimedia Commons bestond? Dan doet de afbeelding mee in de speciale categorie! Heeft een monument nog geen foto in de monumentenlijst op Wikipedia, dan is het aannemelijk dat we er nog geen foto van hadden. Om het zoeken naar monumenten zonder afbeelding wat makkelijker te maken, kun je op Wikipedia lijsten en een kaart van Nederland vinden.

Tot slot nodigen we je nog van harte uit om volgende week met ons op pad te gaan. Op zaterdag 16 september wandelen we tijdens een Wiki Takes rond in Hoorn: op zondag 17 september doen we hetzelfde in Leiden. Onder ervaren gidsen wandelen we langs monumenten in de stad en nemen we ruimschoots de tijd om de monumenten goed op de foto te zetten. Aanmelden verplicht en plaatsen gelimiteerd!
Tot en met 30 september heb je de tijd om je foto's up te loaden: de top 10 gaat door naar de internationale wedstrijd, waar de hoofdprijs de nieuwste Canon EOS 5D camera is!
