-- Uploaded Secor Trunk Photo Just a question about the company photo that was uploaded to the M.M. Secor page - was there a caption or an accompanying article, and where exactly did you get the photo - from the Racine Public Library archives, or somewhere online? I'm wondering because there's a possibility my great-great-grandfather might be in that photo. Thanks, Jwhouk (talk) 21:43, 28 October 2017 (UTC) Hello. I'm not very skilled with these talk pages, so I hope this works. I apologize for not being able to respond to your question more accurately. I made the color photocopy about 1993 at what was then the Racine Historical Society. I think it has a new name, but is at the same location. At the time, I was a novice genealogical researcher and I did not write down the source citation like I should have. Or, if I did, I can no longer find any trace of it. I remember that the original that I copied was from the Racine Journal Times, and I have a vague recollection, perhaps inaccurate, that it was during the 1930s. The photo itself was originally made between 1885-95. I am almost positive that if you ask the people at the reference desk, using their index card system, they should be able to identify the original. This is how I originally found it. If you do obtain it, I would love to have it as well. I live in Switzerland now, so it is easier for you, no doubt. rick.larsen@bluewin.ch Ricklarsen lux (talk)
