Extraction
[edit]When you extract a file from an existing file please use "{{Extracted from|FILE NAME}}" and then attribute the original author in the way provided by the original license, this isn't necessary for public domain or CC0 works but is still preferred. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 08:36, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
File:Wendisch-Rambow (53.7756°N 11.4122°E).jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.)

I drew the map in an attempt to sort out the confusion about the location - the map has disappeared, but the confusion remains! Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 10:41, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

If I recall correctly, I adjusted the image from space so that the island's alignment corresponded with the geographical image below, so that readers wouldn't have to perform the 15° rotation mentally. This doesn't appear to be acceptable. Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 10:29, 27 October 2024 (UTC)

Cropped from an image already in Wikipedia. Why should the cropped version be marked for deletion? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 10:35, 27 October 2024 (UTC)
