Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Category:Bildfahrpläne

The norm is to name categories in English. Why is this in German? Is there no English equivalent, such as Category:Rail transport diagrams? And why not Category:Graphique de circulation. Please consider undoing all this. Rodhullandemu (talk) 17:35, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

I haven't found an English name for this concept so I chose that name. I definitely do not consider undoing all this. Or do you think that Category:Rail transport traffic control diagrams is a better category for all the different subjects in it? --PhiH (talk) 17:49, 20 December 2020 (UTC)

If the category is up for deletion because it has been superseded, consider the notion that although the category may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new category. Learning by doing

Moin Moin PhiH, ich habe gesehen, dass du eine Kategorie umbenannt hast "Train station Meine" nach "Meine trainstation". Gibt es hier irgendwo eine Art Dokumentation, wie soetwas gehandelt wird, auch mit anderen Kategorien? Also Thema Benamung von Kategorien? Moin, anders als in der deutsch- oder in der englischsprachigen Wikipedia gibt es auf Commons keine richtigen Namenskonventionen, sondern nur allgemeine Richtlinien unter COM:Categories#Category names. Je nach Land sind auf Commons die Bezeichnungen Xyz train station und Xyz railway station üblich. Train station Xyz wäre dagegen eine Bezeichnung, die man im Englischen nicht verwenden würde. --PhiH (talk) 19:51, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
