Hum

[edit]

Crosses - 150+ IIRC (of course we do already have a few (got to get that drink somehow :)).

Any thoughts on whether it should be all of them (if so separate page?) or how are we going to restrict them? --Herby talk thyme 14:48, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well I set this page up without thinking about that level of detail...
We certainly should aim for every last one - but we end up with same issue as with the tors: What is a cross? What is Dartmoor? For instance the Dartmoor Crosses website includes Bickleigh - outside DNP, but its reasonable to state its "on" Dartmoor.
I think split the crosses off when we get to a reasonable number (no harm in keeping them here whilst we expand the list out).--Nilfanion (talk) 20:44, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rambling

[edit]

Random thought for future according to http://www.nationalparks.gov.uk/learningabout/factsandfigures.htm - ~1200 ancient monuments on Dartmoor. I could obtain details from the english heritage pages.... I wonder :) --Nilfanion (talk) 01:03, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
