I'm happy to have you close a non-controversial DR, but please do it correctly. The header (you can use Delh or DeletionHeader) goes above the section head with the file in it and the footer at the very end. A line (four hyphens ----, goes between the discussion and your closing comments. And thanks for contributing to Commons Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 16:26, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
Copy paste method?
Hi, I saw your rollbacker request and could not help but wonder what you mean with "the copy paste method" of reverting vandalism. You are aware that to revert to a version that is very much earlier, all you need to do is go to that specific revision in the history (e.g. [1]), then press "edit" and "save". No copy-paste should be necessary. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 09:34, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, learned about the other method when looking at the talk page of the requests. Before then "the copy and paste method" seemed to be the only way to undo vandalism spanning many edits without rollback. Thank you for the advice anyways, MorganKevinJ(talk) 17:24, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
Non-free Flickr files
Hi Morgankevinj. Just a note that whenever you fail a review for license, that you notify the uploader like it says in the template. Otherwise there would be no point in adding the template :). Hopefully some day I'll get the script to be able to do this. Thanks for your great work with image reviewing! --ZooFari 03:30, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
- I usually do add a notice, but i must of acted a little too quickly on that file. Thank you for the note, I will be more careful when reviewing. MorganKevinJ(talk) 17:23, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Higher Resolution
Hi Morgankevinj, thanks a lot for your advice for higher resolution - I have supposedt that something was wrong... --TeleD (talk) 18:50, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks
Thank you for your confidence in granting me the image reviewer flag. I must say, though, it seems like those requests would receive more input if they were located in the central location for all non-admin/crat/CU requests at Commons:Requests for rights. – Adrignola talk 21:55, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
I can't delete it!
i am not able to delete them, please delete them. thank you so much.--Alborzagros (talk) 09:01, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
- I am not sure what images you are referring to. If you want an image deleted you can tag it for speedy deletion with author request. I can not delete the images as I am not an administrator. MorganKevinJ(talk) 17:29, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
OTRS
Hi, I've received a copy of an email sent to OTRS releasing copyright for this image. The article en:Joseph Barbera is scheduled for TFA tomorrow...what can be done to expedite permission to use? Thanks! Dreadstar (talk) 18:18, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
- Since I do not have access to the OTRS system I can not expedite permission. You can either ask on the OTRS Noticeboard or on the IRC channel #wikimedia-otrs. MorganKevinJ(talk) 18:28, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks!! Dreadstar (talk) 18:37, 23 March 2011 (UTC)
OTRS queue
Whats happening here? The ticket exist [2] and other than a sloppy identification of the photo I can't see any error anywhere? Can you explain. Jeblad (talk) 21:52, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- Same thing here. Jeblad (talk) 21:55, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- When i click on the ticket it says "No permission".MorganKevinJ(talk) 21:58, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- Is your account configured correctly? Do you have permission on the OTRS system? Can you check some picture were you are definitly sure about the permission, some old sure-thing commons added one. Perhaps it is something with the queues on the OTRS system. I'll jump in on the OTRS channel at IRC and ask if they have noticed anything strange. Jeblad (talk) 22:05, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- Is it in a differnt queue than permmisions? MorganKevinJ(talk) 22:10, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- You might want to check in the photo-submissions queue. –Juliancolton | Talk 22:25, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

- On your account on the commons you are not flagged as an OTRS member can you post a request on the bureaucrats noticeboard to avoid being tagged by the abuse filter. MorganKevinJ(talk) 22:23, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Hello,
As you can see in the category this picture belongs to, the sculptor is André Friederich. He died in 1877. Ji-Elle (talk) 12:05, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Commons Deletion Request
Hi there, you tagged a file which I uploaded recently on request from the file's creator; see here; I've left a note (and link direct to the requester's WP talk page) on the discussion area. Can you discuss any problems directly with him, please? He will know more about it / be better able to discuss it with you than I can. Thanks! ThatPeskyCommoner (talk) 12:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Declaration of consent
I sent an email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org including a permission statement to proof my work (File:GameCores Website_Copyright_VOL.2.jpg) are licensed. Please regard and modify my work as soon as possible. Thank you. Ac3Ali3n (talk) 22:12, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
OTRS ticket - speedy
Can you tell me the content of Template:OTRS ticket? I'd like to know if there is a user on English Wikipedia so blatantly violating copyrights that he needs a stern warning or block. Magog the Ogre (talk) 12:04, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- You also might want to check out File:Texas Giant construction 1.jpg and File:Texas Giant construction 3.jpg. Magog the Ogre (talk) 12:06, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- The files are copied from [3]. Notice the watermark on the images. MorganKevinJ(talk) 12:11, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
- So are you going to tag those other two images? They're copyvios of the same site. Magog the Ogre (talk) 12:22, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

Tip: Categorizing images
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 18:00, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
