Well, if I knew which image(s) you talk about I may give more information but for the standard, the shots are taken with a careful focus and the appropriate depth of field and usually post-processed in several dedicated software to reduce the flaws of the lens (even pro-grade – and expensive – lenses have flaws!). These post-processing steps are the most time consuming but essential to get a clean result. Also, I try to post images only good enough in my opinion to be valuable (subject and quality-speaking) for Wikipedia.
