Welcome to Wikimedia Commons, Milazzi!

Hi Milazzi, you can not simply edit an image and then claim authorship on it. The source is not "Own work by uploader", the source is File:Villa Molin a Mandria (Padova).jpg. The author is not you, the author is Marcok. The license of your source is GFDL, so you must fulfill requirements:

  • Attribute the author, name the source
  • Publish your derivative work under GFDL (share alike)
  • Provide a complete version history

Please pay attention to copyrights, all images on Commons can be used by everyone, but they are not always public domain - means the are protected by copyright of individual authors. --Martin H. (talk) 00:33, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I now saw your it.wiki userpage and see, that you are known with Marcok, maybe he uploaded it on your request first to Wikipedia? Im sorry if I assumed wrong above, please help me to clearify this. --Martin H. (talk) 00:43, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I uploaded for him a long time ago. Sorry for the attribution problems. The photo was taken by Milazzi. --Marcok (talk) 08:55, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since the picture I uploaded has an higher resolution than the one previously uploaded by Marcok I thought there was no need for further explanations, I'm sorry. In any case I've the full set of pictures taken that time, each of them with its own exif. I know: exif data may be edited, but there is nobody else having the full-scale pictures, unedited. The one I uploaded yesterday (like the one Marcok uploaded before) is the result of the editing of a picture named DSCN0003, shot (by me) on May 24 2003 at 6:30 AM. --Milazzi (talk) 09:42, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Im sorry again, have to check SUL accounts first to avoide this kind of misunderstanding. Happy editing and thanks for your uploads :) --Martin H. (talk) 12:24, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Milazzi!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

Notification about possible deletion

[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
