Photo copyright
[edit]Hello, I noticed you have uploaded a number of photos to commons and applied a creative commons license and specified own work, which implies you are the original photographer. However, I have seen some of these photos on various websites, and the meta data on some suggest the source as "instagram". Please can you advise if you are the photographer of the photos, or if you have pulled them from various sources? Note that, unless you actually took the photos yourself, you cannot upload these to wikimedia commons. I would also like my direct concerns addressed rather than simply saying "yes I took them", which won't suffice. Thanks. Bungle (talk • contribs) 21:45, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Bungle Hi thank you four your request. I work for Bodybuilding federation of Asia and Uzbekistan and all photos of them are my own work, some of them you mentioned (instagrma) taken in the Volinkin Gym address Qorasuv 6 Tashkent Uzbekistan. The quality of these photos are better than that uploaded on instagram. Thank you Mikhail Volinkin1 (talk) 15:41, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for the reply. I am prepared to accept many (at least) as being of you as the subject (although those of you were photographed by someone else, I don't think we need to consider an issue under the circumstances). Probably the one that made me curious was File:Khabibulla Nizamov.jpg, which appears to be using (or taken from) this page. I only ask this as there is no file metadata with this, it seems to be "different" to the others and has what appears to be a copyright notice at the bottom right? Do you have the original photo of this to upload, rather than one that "appears" to have been taken off another site? Bungle (talk • contribs) 18:00, 15 August 2022 (UTC)
