SVGs vs PNGs
I know that the SVG image duplicates the PNG. I intentionally uploaded the SVG image as a replacement for the PNG image. The SVG image is a vector image and is thus infinitely zoomable. For a flag like the Japanese war ensign that is greatly superior to a raster image.David Newton 20:59, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
Good to see you again
I hadn't seen you in a long while. Thought someone had put a Mk48 into you :) Thanks for the vote of confidence. --Durin 01:01, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey Durin, sorry for the long delay in my response. It's good to see you as well. It just so happened that I was doing some image reviews on commons, mostly images from flickr, and I went to see if I could become a trusted image reviewer, and I noticed on the same page, your admin nomination on commons. I had to give my 2 cents. No torpedos hit me just yet. I supposed you could say that I was just on a long voyage. :) -- malo (talk) 16:43, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Image deletion warning | Image:Johnny_Marr.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

- en:USS Laffey (DD-724) isn't the same ship as en:USS Laffey (DD-459). Your upload here was *completely* wrong. --Felix Talk! 16:04, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
