Gallica
[edit]Hallo,
if you want better resolution of pictures from French handball magazine, you use the url http://gallica.bnf.fr/iiif/ark:/12148/*ID*/f*p*//full/full/0/native.jpg with *ID* for the ID of the magazine (for instance bpt6k96891849) and *p* for the page (for instance 45). => Example: http://gallica.bnf.fr/iiif/ark:/12148/bpt6k96922996/f16//full/full/0/native.jpg LeFnake (talk) 17:59, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you.
- Do you know if we can use every picture in these magazines? Sometimes they were taken for an agency like Tempsport. Lanthan2003 (talk) 14:43, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hallo,
- well, to be honest, all of this is not cristal clear for me ^^
- In the description of the magazine, it says "Rights: Public domain" in english (but not in french...) but I don't know if it means that all pictures in each magazine are also in public domain such as Wikimedia understand it?
- About Tempsport, I just found that this french photo agency has been bought in 2000 by Sygma which was bought in 1999 by Corbis (owned by Bill Gates). And in 2016, Corbis is bought by Visual China Group and VCG licensed the images to Corbis's historic rival, Getty Images. So I've no idea who owns Tempsport's pictures...
- So, when agency or photograph is clearly linked to a picture, I rather do not upload here. Otherwise, we will see in the future if we wera allowed or not ^^ LeFnake (talk) 11:20, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
mistake
[edit]Hello,
I noticed a mistake about the file Stephane_Stoecklin_Hand-ball_bulletin_federal_1988-2-1.jpg: it's not your mistake but FFHB mistake since the picture does not depicts Stoecklin, but seems to be Christophe Sevestre. I never heard of this player before, so whether you just delete this picture or you can upload a new version with the right picture of Stéphane Stoecklin since he is the one in the bottom center of the page ;-) Thanks !
