Overcategorizing

[edit]

Hello KshitizBathwal,

welcome, and thanks for your uploads. Please pay attention to the way we categorize images: categories are not tags, and your uploads are definitely ovecategorized. Let me know if you have any questions. Again, welcome! -- Ariadacapo (talk) 07:02, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notification about possible deletion

[edit]
Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

@Ariadacapo: Hi, it looks like you’ve nominated images uploaded by User:KshitizBathwal as they aren’t processed with OTRS. But those images are completely owned by the uploader. The possibility of clowning an image from Instagram with Meta data and original quality is zero. This process will further decrease the interest in new contributors.—IM3847 (talk) 07:56, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Purple (and some green) CAs at many countours. Could you fix that? Thanks! --Aristeas 07:39, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Aristeas: Changed the saturation of the image, can you please help me in finding further changes to be made --IM3847 16:11, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Support Thank you! IMHO the colours look much more natural now and the CAs are mostly fixed. It is still a pity that the buildings at the right are rather unsharp, but IMHO we should not be picky here as this (degrading sharpness at the borders) is a common problem with drone photos. So IMHO the image is quite good now (technically) and definitely a great view of the building (esthetically). --Aristeas 10:05, 9 September 2019 (UTC)

When categorising files, please avoid placing them into several categories that are directly linked within the same tree (e.g. a parent category and a child category – like Category:United Kingdom and Category:London), to prevent over-categorization of files and over-population of categories. Usually, only the most specific category should be used. See Commons:Categories for more details. Thank you.

@KshitizBathwal: Since you're a new Wikimedian and assuming this is your first nomination. I would suggest you to read the criteria for deletion at Commons:Deletion policy. --IM3847 (talk) 18:32, 11 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
