Please can I post pictures of people who are dead but they are legend please let me know Jlevi, and can I post pictures of scammers out there you know for advice ekumodeh@gmail.com Kiara Karen Katie (talk) 19:38, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- Kiara Karen Katie In general, you can only post pictures you have taken yourself, and which you are willing to put in the public domain (which means that anyone would be able to use them in the future). There are some other cases in which you could post pictures, but they are more limited. For instance, you cannot post picture that you find on the internet (usually).
- In addition, pictures you upload need to have relevance to wikimedia projects. The most common case is if there is an article that it can illustrate. This hopefully explains why some of the pictures you uploaded were tagged for deletion: even if you took them yourself, they need to have relevance to some part of the wikimedia project.
- So to summarize: 1. Make sure it's your own picture, and 2) make sure it could be added to a project.
- If you have a specific example of a scammer or deceased person, feel free to ask. It's likely that you can't add it here. Jlevi (talk) 19:43, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
Please let me know if I am disturbing you Kiara Karen Katie (talk) 19:51, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- Happy to resolve your questions. Jlevi (talk) 19:55, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
Can I sell my picture Kiara Karen Katie (talk) 19:51, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- Not here! Generally wikimedia does not purchase photos, and this is not a place to display merchandise. In fact, if you upload photos here, that means that anyone can use it for free.
Jlevi, are you there like turkmen the famous scammers Kiara Karen Katie (talk) 19:52, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- I don't really know what you're referring to. Jlevi (talk) 19:55, 12 September 2020 (UTC)

Can I share pictures of 👨❤️💋👨 Kiara Karen Katie (talk) 15:33, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- I can't tell exactly what you're referring to. Commons is not censored (consider reading this link), so in general explicit imagery is allowed. However, images still need to be in the scope of the project, so many sorts of images will be deleted. Jlevi (talk) 18:09, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
Please I want to know if I can comfined in you Kiara Karen Katie (talk) 15:49, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

- No, I prefer to communicate openly on wikipedia. If you need to make less public requests, you can contact an administrator via a personal message. If you don't know how to do this, I'd be happy to direct you to an admin. Jlevi (talk) 18:09, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Emily Gorcenski.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

Notification about possible deletion
[edit]Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
