Locator maps of Norwegian municipalities

Hello! Do you plan to create further maps like NO 4640 Sogndal.svg for all municipalities in the new fylker or do you know if anybody else is doing it? There are only three weeks left until WP needs these maps. Regards, NNW 10:28, 10 December 2019 (UTC)

@NordNordWest: - Hi! Yes. I have created new maps like NO 4640 Sogndal.svg for all municipalities in the Norwegian counties of Troms og Finnmark, Nordland, Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, and Vestland. I have uploaded a few of the new municipalities so far and I plan to upload the rest soon. I planned to continue to do other counties too, but I haven't gotten as far as I had hoped. I don't know of anyone else making maps, but I will continue if no one else does, although that might be after the first of the year. Jay1279 (talk) 02:46, 11 December 2019 (UTC)

How exactly do you make your maps? Would love to help take on the task of updating the maps for 2020. The only issue is that I want my maps to look like the pre-existing maps. Any possiblity of a locator map of Oslo within Viken like NO 0301 Oslo.svg which shows Oslo within Akershus? Would be nice to update the map on the Oslo Wikipedia page. --Worldlydev (talk) 23:28, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

I really like your maps of the Norwegian municipalities within counties and wondered if you could make one for the article about Drammensregion in a similar style. I made a quick and ugly mockup of what I mean here: Drammensregionen.svg. Svalbard kart

Tror du at du kunne oppdatert Norway Counties Svalbard Position.svg slik at den inneholder både Svalbard og Jan Mayen? Altså noe slikt: Svalbard in Norway (plus).svg

Just make a new version of File:Norway Counties & Svalbard Position.svg with Norway's counties, Svalbard and Jan Mayan as such: File:Svalbard in Norway (plus).svg. All of Svalbard higlighted in red, but Jan Mayen kept in grey. Longyearbyen could remain a seperate part as well to indicate that it administratively isn't the exact same as the rest of Svalbard but it should still be in red.

As for the diocese maps I have organized them into the Category:Maps of the Church of Norway. I slightly changed your Norwegian translation of "The part of Vestfold and Telemark county that's not in this diocese." for File:Prostier i Agder og Telemark.svg. I was wondering if maybe the names of the files should be changed from their county names to their diocese names. For example, File:Prostier i Trøndelag.svg would become Prostier i Nidaros. And also we are missing maps for the dioceses of Tunsberg, Oslo, Borg and Hamar. Would be greatly appreciated if you could fix/make the maps and I would like to here your thoughts on renaming some of the images. -- Worldlydev (talk) 15:01, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

@Worldlydev: I uploaded the new version of the Svalbard file. I hope it is what you were looking for. I have requested renaming of the diocese maps so they all will be named according to their diocese names. That was a good idea. I will start working on the other 4 maps too. Prostier i Tunsberg.svg

Hello, there seem to be a spelling error in this map File:Prostier i Tunsberg.svg. It says Ringsaker where it should be Ringerike in the upper red one. Could that be fixed? Bw Morten Haugen (talk) 14:34, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Wrong municipality highlighted

Hello! Great work with the maps showing locations of Norwegian municipalities! I noticed one mistake though, the map File:NO 1231 Kinsarvik.svg is supposed to show the location of Kinsarvik but from what I can see it is actually Jondal (with pre-1965 borders) that it highlighted. Undal

Hello! Once again, great work you are doing! I just noticed something. The municipality of Undal in former Vest-Agder did include Spangereid (that was later separated from Sør-Undal) but in the map File:NO 1027 Undal.svg it appear like Spangereid is not included in the highlighted area. Dobbeltarbeid - fylkeskart 2024

@Jeglikerpotet: @Jay1279: Jeg har lagt merke til at dere begge har lastet opp en del nye kart i forbindelse med reverseringen av regionreformen fra den 1. januar. Tenkte bare jeg skulle varsle dere begge to bare i tilfelle dere ikke har sett det selv, slik at dere ikke ender opp med mer dobbeltarbeid. Det er både kjipt for egen del, og det er samtidig ikke ønskelig med masse duplikat-filer på Wikimedia Commons. Har dere samordnet arbeidet? Ser også at kartene til Jay1279 virker å være av høyere kvalitet. Blant annet er gradientene utført på en bedre måte. Se: File:NO 3214 Frogn.svg versus File:Frogn kommune.svg. Haven't noticed the maps made by Jay1279. You're correct that there are no red gradients of marked municipalities in the maps I've uploaded, so I think the ones made by Jay1279 can be used onwards :) Jeglikerpotet (talk) 21:56, 3 January 2024 (UTC)
