- These files are Commons:Derivative works from modern art, so you need to get permissions from artists. You could ask help on Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard with permissions review. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 13:58, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Amy Karle with her artwork The Heart of Evolution?, 2019.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

Hi EugeneZelenko Thank you for watching out! I do have the rights to share these files and have sent in the proper declaration of consent to confirm copyright ownership by email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org see Ticket#2021032410013511 Ticket#2021033110012679 Ticket#2021033110012581 Ticket#2021033110012642.
I selected the correct permissions at the time of upload so I am not sure why its stating that the images are missing evidence of permission. I am new to wikipedia, would you kindly share instructions on how to add evidence of permission at time of upload so that I don't have to go through this process again with future uploads?
Thank you, Igbofur (talk) 06:32, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello all. I was alerted to this question on en-wiki. Let me know if I can help sort out. It seems complicated because some of the images are of works by Karle, requiring her permission, while others depict her and appear to be taken by someone else, which would need that person’s permission (and perhaps Karle’s too, in the cases that show her with one of her works). Maybe that is already in the works with OTRS. If assistance is needed I’m glad to help sort out what needs what. Innisfree987 (talk) 19:39, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi Innisfree987 Thank you! I'd appreciate your help sorting this out as it is a bit complicated. I have submitted permissions with all details to OTRS Ticket#2021032410013511 Ticket#2021033110012679 Ticket#2021033110012581 Ticket#2021033110012642. I am emailing you now to learn what information would be helpful to resolve this and can forward you the information that way. Best, Igbofur (talk) 20:19, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
Hello, EugeneZelenko Innisfree987 and wiki helpers, As of April 16 2021, I am still waiting for many of the images that I uploaded to be resolved. See OTRS Tickets #2021041310001178 Ticket#2021032410013511 Ticket#2021033110012679 Ticket#2021033110012581 Ticket#2021033110012642. I have sent in the correct permissions releases to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org and copies of the contracts showing they are works made for hire and I have the rights, and the photographers who took some of the images have also contacted OTRS with the correct release template. If you are an OTRS and can update the status of the images, would you please review and resolve? Feel free to email me to let me know what other information would be helpful to resolve these issues. Thank you - Igbofur (talk) 00:03, 17 April 2021 (UTC)
