Warning sign
This media may be deleted.
Thanks for uploading File:Haldiram's Logo SVG.svg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

File:Haldiram's Logo SVG.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Speedy tagging

[edit]

I have reverted your incorrect tagging of File:POGO-logo.png and File:2014 Disney Channel logo.svg. Please note that a source is not necessary for a logo (or other image) below the threshold of originality (COM:TOO). The purpose of a source is to provide evidence that the image is correctly licensed as stated, but proof for an image below TOO is self-evident, i.e. one can tell that the image is public domain simply by looking at the image, so a source is not strictly necessary.

Additionally, COM:CSD#F5 is not a valid reason for immediate speedy deletion. You can use {{No source since}}, {{No license since}}, or {{No permission since}} to tag an image under F5, which gives the uploader (or others) a one-week grace period to fix the issue. (But again, in the case of simple logos, the issue does not need to be fixed. It would be nice to have a source of course, but not having one is not a big deal. If you do not believe that a logo is below TOO, you may nominate it for regular deletion (COM:DR) using {{Delete}}, but do note that these two images have already survived DR in the past.) -- King of ♥ 21:38, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please don't images like File:MSmathsolver.png for speedy deletion, even if it is missing a source. You may nominate it for regular deletion if you think it is above COM:TOO. -- King of ♥ 18:23, 25 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As I've said multiple times, do not use F5 on borderline logos such as File:Videocon Telocom Logo.png. If you believe it is below TOO, then you can simply change the "own work" claim to {{PD-textlogo}} yourself; files should not be deleted for having a wrong copyright tag, if the problem can be remedied simply by fixing the tag. If you believe it is above TOO, then you can open a COM:DR. -- King of ♥ 14:29, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
