locations?
[edit]Hi, how did you find out this [1] is in France, and not in Belgium, or elsewhere? Can you name the location? --Te750iv (talk) 14:43, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
You also changed a couple of unidentified Fortepan images to "…in Hungary", but they provided also images fom other countries, so if you only made a guess, your categorization might be factually wrong. --Te750iv (talk) 14:48, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
and this [2] change is really dubious. Please explain before doing more such edits. --Te750iv (talk) 14:52, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- First one is a special design only used in France. From the ower line in Hungary there are other pictures probably from Fortepan too showing the same line. The third one leads from Turów power plant to lower Silesia (though it could be a similar line somwhere in Poland). -HighVoltage 5576 (talk) 11:55, 16 September 2018 (UTC)
Location
[edit]Hi. Please, add coordinates and sufficiently accurate description to your photos like file:Power line Liskovec - Albrechtice.jpg or file:Power pole at Arcelor-Mittal Liskowec.jpg. Thank You. ŠJů (talk) 18:18, 23 August 2023 (UTC)
Question on South African Grid
[edit]Hello, would you be able to share the shapefile and/or source for this map? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_energy_crisis#/media/File:Electrical_Power_Grid_-_South_Africa.png. I am trying to recreate this to add as a layer on my own map.
- Go to http://overpass-turbo.eu/ and enter "power=line in South_Africa" into the Wizard (returns ca 32 MB).--HighVoltage 5576 (talk) 16:33, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
Please use template Mapillary-source for Mapillary files
[edit]Hi, we have a template called {{Mapillary-source}}. Please use this when uploading pictures from mapillary. It would be kind if you could insert this template on your previous uploads. A (hopefully) best practice is now File:Freileitung Giessen - Wissmar1.png an you can have a look at Special:Diff/811073214/811242839 to the changes I made. Thanks in advance, your Emha (talk) 13:51, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
Shannon Scheme 110 kV single-circuit tower design
[edit]Hello! I recently came across your very nice File:Ardnacrusha_electricity_transmission_towers.png diagram, and I'm curious about the "110 kV tower 1 circuit" design, which shows a "triangular" conductor arrangement. As far as I know, all the original 110-kV lines have been retired, so where did you find this design? I'm mainly asking because Page 71 of the 1938-1939 ESB Annual Report shows a photograph of a 110-kV mast with the conductors arranged horizontally, in a similar design to the standard one used today. I guess that photo was on the Inchicore-Dundalk or Inchicore-Waterford line, whereas the triangular design was used on the earlier Ardnacrusha-Kilbarry line?
