Please use more relevant categories (Category:Viperidae), not generic one like for such images.
Please use {{GFDL-self}} for your own images.

Is there a way to do it automaticlly? all the pics i uploaded are GFDL-self
Guy Haimovitch 19:22, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
- Unfortunately {{GFDL-self}} is removed from licensing menu on upload page. But you could license your images under GFDL and Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike licenses (it exists in menu).
- Please add license tag to Image:Agama stellio.jpg.

Photo usage
[edit]Hi, I've been working on a small game built around animal quizzes and I wanted to let you know I've used one of your pictures.
I found your picture here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Eryx_jaculus.jpg
And I attributed the picture like this: Guy Haimovitch and also added a link to the license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en
I hope you're happy with it, please let me know if this is not the case. You can find the game here: http://apps.facebook.com/animalalbum Or through here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/AnimalAlbum/156339584490672

P.S. Thanks for taking the picture and making it available.

[edit]Hi, Guy. ANSA, an online journal has published one of your photographies here and claims to be the author. Best wishes. --Pompilos (talk) 00:07, 2 January 2016 (UTC)
File tagging File:Book cover front.jpg
[edit]This media was probably deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:Book cover front.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Book cover front.jpg]] ) and the above demanded information in your request. |
