Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hi Gabuxae. I noticed that you've made a malformed deletion request: omitting the year, month, and day. Here, {{Delete}} is not for speedy deletion, please see COM:DP. When you want to delete a page by manually using the {{Delete}} template (rather than the automatic Nominate for deletion or Nominate category for discussion tool in the Tools menu on the sidebar provided by the AjaxQuickDelete gadget per COM:DR#Starting requests and COM:CFD#Starting requests), you must follow the instructions in the template, including the "Click here to show further instructions" portion (or Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually policy or the "By hand" portion of COM:CFD#Starting requests, normally collapsed), otherwise you will create a lot of work for other people. Warning: such edits are not tolerated and have led to account blocks, as "We cannot work here with people who are not willing to follow our procedures, in particular for deletion requests."   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 10:44, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

This was not intended to be speedy deletion. I know of Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually and I tried to follow it. I think that the diff you highlighted originated from {{Subst}} I took from some other page. Digging browser history for details - Gabuxae (talk) 10:56, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

@Jeff G.: Now that I can't even see the diff, I'm not so sure of anything. But it's possible I mistakenly copied the template from the heading, and not from the body, of item I. Perhaps headings I and IV should be changed not to include any code? - Gabuxae (talk) 11:18, 22 August 2024 (UTC)

It was just a Delete template with the reason you used on Commons:Deletion requests/File:D. Esther Swain.jpg. No year, month, and day. Commons:Deletion requests/Listing a request manually is instructional, for people to read on the surface and use the code at the bottom of each instruction on the surface.
