Thanks for uploading File:Queen Elizabeth II visit to Sudan in February 1965.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

@Diannaa chech the license .. I do not think the tag is appropriate FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:22, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
The source website has marked the image as "Copyright © Sudanese Association of Pediatricians." — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:27, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
@Diannaa .. They can tag it as much as they want, Sudanese Association of Pediatricians did not even exist in 1965, it was created in 1977 FuzzyMagma (talk) 20:31, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
That is the date of first issue of the Sudanese Journal of Paediatrics, which proves nothing. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 21:02, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
@Diannaa how? the event is in 1965, a state visit, am sure you can see that it has nothing to do with the Sudanese Association of Pediatricians. similar images can be found here and here and here and here and here amd here andhere and here .. it does not blong to Sudanese Association of Pediatricians it belongs to the state. The photo in question was uploaded by the auuthor, Mustafa Salih, it does not make him the owner
Anway, as per the licence, It was first published in Sudan before 18 December 1996 as the picture was taken in 1965 I think it is a far game = public FuzzyMagma (talk) 21:28, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
@Diannaa your tag indicate you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case which I cannot find. I do not want the image to be deleted because I was not able to convince one person especially that the existence of Sudanese Association of Pediatricians succeed this picture/state visit, and I am sure Sudanese Association of Pediatricians (SAP) is just slapping unsubstantiated claims of copy right.
Anyway, as there is little online about when SAP was founded, here is my set of evidence:
1. Sudanese Journal of Paediatrics is the journal of the Sudanese Association of Pediatricians which started publishing in 1977, see [1]
2. The 1st president of the Sudanese Association of Pediatricians is Professor Mahmoud Mohamed Hassan (unknown when) but he was the first Sudanese doctor to obtain a post graduate MD from University of Khartoum in 1965. I am sure you need more than 1 post graduate MD to start a journal. see [2]
3. Going back to the publication where the image was published, figure no. 1 is from 1934 and SAP also slapped their claim of copyright, see [3]. Again in 1934, Pedicatrity as a discipline did not even exist in Sudan. See [4]
4. free version of similar images of the event exist and it attributed to John Loengard, see [5]
5. see
Public domain This image is in the public domain because the copyright of this photograph, registered in Sudan, has expired. (At least 25 years have passed after the photograph was created, Sudanese Law).
Use this template exclusively for photos and NOT for drawings or other pieces of art.

Warning: clear proof that the image was taken more than 25 years ago must be given.

I hope this clarify that SAP copyright claim is fraudulent and should be dismissed FuzzyMagma (talk) 11:34, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

@Adeletron 3030 I want to upload this image from the United States National Library of Medicine but I am not really sure about the licence FuzzyMagma (talk) 12:43, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
The photographer is Paul Almasy, who died in 2003, and it looks like the photograph was taken and published in France. That likely means it's protected by copyrighted until 2073 according to Commons:Copyright rules by territory/France, and cannot be uploaded to Commons until then. But feel free to consult other users — I could be wrong. Adeletron 3030 (talk) 14:12, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
