- Hello Pete Forsyth,
- You're right, it's highly unlikely that a picture of Harry Partch (in the 1950s or early 1960s) and one of his signature instrument is Public Domain.
- I've asked for speedy deletion.
- Maybe someone can create an "equivalent" drawing using such a picture as reference, in order to illustrate an article about the composer.

- @Flopinot2012 Sorry, I just saw this reply. I was able to find a couple public domain photos of him, not the greatest quality, but enough to illustrate his Wikipedia entry. See File:Harry Partch portrait 1952.jpg -Pete Forsyth (talk) 14:32, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Pete Forsyth Thank you very much for this notification. I have taken a step back from all wikipedia / wikimedia activities for a moment : it's been really depressing, lately. The quality of the picture is certainly sufficient for a vignette in the body of the article (with a relatively small value of upright). For the infobox, it would be quite bad. I always find it insulting when people insist on using the worst possible picture available (it happens ^_^) which makes one assume that online encyclopedias are meant to be some sort of Hell for artists, famous or unknown...
