User:Ronhjones File:Slumber Party Slaughter Film Poster.jpg Hi Ronhjones, I got the point, thank you. Can I ask you why the file was previously deleted? I really would like to upload an image or film poster and then use it for the Wikipedia page about the film but I can't find anything else except this image; I can't find anything without copyright. What can I do? Do you have some tips? Any suggestions' welcome. Thank you. EvaAzz (talk) 23:22, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- @EvaAzz: I assume you mean en-wiki. Fair use is allowed on en-wiki, it has to be uploaded over there, and not here. Here is a good example of how to set up a poster - en:File:1942 A Love Story 1994 film poster.jpg - there's a lot of text, most is automatic, open edit window and see. You do need to be autoconfirmed (account 4 days old and 10 edits) to upload locally there. Do also note you cannot use this on a Draft, it has to be a full article. The size will be reduced to the guideline of 100,000 pixels automatically within 24 hours. If it's for a different Wikipedia, check m:NFC to see if fair use is allowed on that wiki. - @Ronhjones: Hi Ronhjones, I really thank you for your help. I'll check all your suggestions. Anyway, to be clear: what I mean is that I want to upload this poster or image to use it to complete the information about the film on Wikipedia. I need to use it for 3 languages. I translated an article about this film from es-wiki to it-wiki and I want to upload and use the image for both. The next step could be translated it into English and so use it again for en-wiki.
