Renaming requests
[edit]Hey there,
Just as a friendly tip, for cases like File:Psi1 Draconis.jpg, it may be better to simply use criterion #1, "at request of the original uploader." The other criteria require that the admin or filemover be able to identify why the new name is better, and that's sometimes difficult on a multilingual project, especially when the helpful volunteer is reviewing many requests over a short time in order to clear a backlog. For #1, as long as the upload was relatively recent (not seven years old or something), it's basically a no-brainer. Not sure how often this will come up, but if it does, hopefully it'll make things a bit easier for you. –Juliancolton | Talk 21:46, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
