User talk:Crocodile2020
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

Thanks for uploading File:אות המעפיל - 2.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

Notification about possible deletion
[edit]Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. - Dear EugeneZelenko These photographs were taken by a number of different journalists who covered the events during those years. In France, Germany and the US.
- These photographs were taken over 72 years ago in the years 1947-1946 and before so they have no copyright status anymore as I know.
- These photographs are very important to explain the difficult events of Jewish refugees even after the Holocaust that occurred during World War II.
- Please help me as much as possible for the photos to remain in the wiki commons and not be deleted.

Please be more careful
[edit]Please be more careful when uploading images. When you crop or alter an image that is not originally made by you, you should retain date, author, license, categories etc. Vysotsky (talk) 11:16, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Vysotsky, I will be happy to fix what needs to be fixed. Please let me know where I went wrong. Crocodile2020 (talk) 14:09, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for this quick reply. Two examples:
- This photo of Frank Scholten is a mirrored image. As faces are not symmetrical, one should not mirror faces. I would advise to return to the original lay-out. I adjusted the description, date, source, author, license and categories of this file.
- This photo of Mazen Izzeddin Abdalla Tal was not your "own photo", but a photo probably made by Elke A. Jung-Wolff, US Deutsche Botschaft Berlin. You cropped the image. I adjusted date, author, license and categories. Vysotsky (talk) 14:23, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, I learned from your comments and in the future I will make sure to follow the instructions you emphasized to me. Crocodile2020 (talk) 12:47, 18 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you very much! Vysotsky (talk) 19:18, 19 August 2023 (UTC)

- Hello,
You can delete the photo. I scanned my user page for the purpose of explaining to our technical team about a technical fault I had on the user page. The issue has been resolved and there is no longer a need for photography. Thanks for the attention. Crocodile2020 (talk) 22:18, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
