User talk:Corinne.sutter
Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump. |

OLPC icons
[edit]Are these really your own work? If so, they are probably out of scope for Commons. We do not host personal art.
Or do they come from the OLPC website? The OLPC website has a CC-BY-3 license on all of it. I note that you have put a CC-BY-SA license on these. As a general rule, if you are simply uploading material, you should use the same license as the source.
If we are to keep them, the license on each must be changed.
I also not that you have created a very nice gallery of them. That requires skills that a new user usually doesn't have. Is it possible that you have another account here? That is not necessarily against the rules, but as a general rule must be declared, together with a reason for it. Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 12:29, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
