Voice recording
[edit]Nice to bump into you. I see you've uploaded loads of voice files. What happened to my recording? Did anything go wrong? Schwede66 09:29, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Whoops! Sorry I focussed on going through the MPs I had in list order and you weren’t on that list. I’ll get it uploaded when I’m next doing some editing. Cloventt (talk) 09:35, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe I should stand for parliament 🤣 Schwede66 02:25, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- I see that you've added it. Thanks! I've had a look at the module/template whether it can accommodate more than one file and it seems that the answer is yes. See w:Template:Listen#Multiple files. Schwede66 01:54, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- I did consider that, but looking at other pages in the Voice intro project where there are bilingual recordings it seems the convention is to only include them for articles on their respective language. Eg the English article only features the English language recording, and if there was a German article, it would feature only the German voice recording, etc. For example see Emily Temple-Wood, who has bilingual recordings in French and English. I don't think this is a strict rule though, as far as I can tell. Cloventt (talk) 02:06, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, I see. Thinking about it, that makes perfect sense if the articles exist in other languages. If they don't, then the English article could hold those recordings. Lawrence Xu-Nan, for example, only has an English article, but I see you have a recording in Mandarin from him. Schwede66 07:47, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
