Hello

[edit]

Hi, I'm User:PericlesofAthens. I love your Egyptian museum collection galleries, they are absolutely amazing, especially the miniature models of workers in granaries and slaughterhouses and boats, etc. I would love to use them in Wikipedia articles. I would also like to employ the few Chinese art pics you have, namely Image:ROM-ChineseGallery-DemonSculpture.png, Image:ROM-JudgeFigurine-ChineseGallery.png, and Image:ROM-JudgeFigurines-ChineseGallery.png, but the only problem is you've forgotten to date them like the other pictures. The exact dynastic period (like 'Tang', 'Song', 'Yuan', 'Ming', or 'Qing') isn't even mentioned, so I wouldn't be able to use them sensibly in any Wikipedia articles. Could you please reveal the dates or at least the dynastic periods for these statues? Thank you.--PericlesofAthens 18:10, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Most impressive! What you managed to do is beyond my relatively meager talents in PhotoShop. Kudos to you and your work! Captmondo (talk) 13:45, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re DepictingPhilistineAndAmorite, which is which? Carlaude (talk) 01:48, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. Normally I would name something in left-to-right order, but I am not so sure on this one.
Am at work now, but when home I will check the original set of pictures and see if the caption (that I would have also taken a shot of) can make things entirely clear. Failing that, I have an old catalog of that Museum and may be able to dig up more info on those pieces there. Stay tuned! Captmondo (talk) 13:49, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
