Kampung Girsang 1

Kampung Girsang 1 berada di Kabupaten Simalungun dekat dengan Parapat. Sekitar 1 km dari Kota Parapat, sebelum melewati Jembatan Sisera-sera sebelah kiri. Waktu tempuh hanya 7 menit dari Pantai Bebas.

Sejarah Kampung Girsang 1

Berdasarkan cerita dan temuan dari berbagai sumber menyatakan bahwa Kampung Girsang 1 merupakan kampung marga Sinaga kedua setelah Urat, Samosir. Ada tiga keturunan dari Sinaga Bonor yang pergi ke Parapat. Tiga di antaranya yakni Bonar Pande atau Porti, Tiang Ni Tonga atau Sidahapitu, Suhut Ni Huta atau Sangkal Horbo. Dari ketiga keturunan tersebut, keturunan Suhut Ni Huta yang beranakcucu dan bertambah banyak di Kampung Girsang 1. Salah satu dari empat anak Suhut Ni Huta yang paling mendominasi yakni Sorak Maunok.

Awalnya Sorak Maunok berdiam di Sibaganding, Parapat. Kemudian dia pindah ke perkampungan dekat Gereja RK sekarang ini. Karena sulitnya mencari air, ia pindah ke sebuah tempat yang belakangan dinamai Sidallogan. Di sana, Sorak Maunok mempunyai keturunan yang dinamai Suhut Maraja.

Suhut Maraja memiliki dua istri. Istri pertamanya boru Sihotang. Dari perkawinan mereka lahirlah Sidasuhut dan Sidallogan. Dari istri keduanya boru Manurung lahirlah anak yang bernama Simaibang dan Simandalahi.

Mengagetkan, menurut cerita, Simaibang mengawini ibunya sendiri boru Manurung setelah Suhut Maraja meninggal. Hasil perkawinan mereka lahirlah seorang anak dinamai Simanjorang. Dalam perkembangannya keturunan dari Suhut Maraja inilah yang membuka perkampungan masing masing dan menamai Kampung atau Huta tersebut sesuai dengan nama mereka. Hingga kini, nama kampung tersebut masih ditemukan di Girsang 1 yakni Sidasuhut, Sidallogan, Simaibang, Simandalahi, dan Simanjorang. Ada satu kampung yang dinamai Porti, nama lain dari Bonar Pande.

Kampung Girsang 1 Kini

           Hingga kini, secara kesuluruhan penduduk Girsang 1 masih didominasi keturunan Sinaga dan kerabat-kerabatnya dari marga lain. Beberapa marga lain yang tinggal di sini seperti Silalahi, Sirait, Manurung dan lainnya, yang umumnya berasal dari Toba Samosir. Kawasan Girsang didominasi oleh suku Batak Toba. Unik memang mengingat Girsang berada di Kabupaten Simalungun.

Bahasa yang digunakan pada umumnya Batak Toba dan Bahasa Indonesia. Sekalipun ada mata pelajaran Bahasa Simalungun diajarkan di sekolah, masyarakat tidak lazim gunakan bahasa tersebut. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ButetSinaga (talk • contribs) 00:52, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Loves Folklore is an international photography contest hosted on Wikimedia Commons to document folklore and intangible cultural heritage from around the world, such as folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, folk activities, folk games, folk cuisine, folk wear, folktales, folk games, folk religion, mythology, and many more.
