I will discuss changes to flag, be polite, don't accuse me of ill-intention again
[edit]Alright I will discuss changes to the flag of the Independent State of Croatia, but you are way out of line in accusing me of ill intentions and "playing with the file". That is very offensive, you need to be more polite and not insult people. You will get into a lot of trouble with such an aggressive attitude, if I make a mistake just tell me that I made a mistake, but don't claim that I am a fool who is "playing with file". I say this both as good advice and a warning: if you do not learn some manners and continue to make rude accusations against me I will report you for making a personal attack. I am letting you get away with this personal attack you made against me, but I will not do so again.--R-41 (talk) 01:32, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Coat of arms of the Socialist Republic of Croatia
[edit]I will try to make an SVG copy of the coat of arms of the Socialist Republic of Croatia. But it will take some time. The Coat of arms for the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was extremely difficult due to how complex it was. Furthermore, I need to make corrections to the coat of arms of Yugoslavia, particularly the star which is inaccurate. I will try to make the coat of arms of SR Croatia, but it will take some time.--R-41 (talk) 22:51, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
COA of Macedonia
[edit]Please do not play games with the Macedonian COA. It is not a private COA to modify it as you want. I am Macedonian and at least I know how it looks like. Please do not create new, unknown Macedonian COAs. Martin is right. Regards--MacedonianBoy (talk) 08:54, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- It is not only my opinion, but other users are reacting about that wrong colours. The original COA is Martin's version. BTW, you have uploaded several colourful COA so this one should be the original, and the rest two the false ones. --MacedonianBoy (talk) 08:35, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- I have provided several references about the official COA. There are other versions too, I do agree about it, but the reality is like this. You have uploaded, besides the problematic version, two other COAs which satisfy the needs of the users. The lines are grey, not black and the star is with white borders. I am sure about these things. My proposal is to keep the three versions, as you did on the page of Република Македонија. This is fair solution, without any change. --MacedonianBoy (talk) 22:49, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- So, as I can see, instead of grey lines you want yellow lines, right? I can accept it, but I cannot accept yellow borders of the star and light brown of the poppies. So, as final proposal, the poppies and the star should remain the same, where as the colour of the sky and the grey wheat should be changed. What about this?--MacedonianBoy (talk) 09:05, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

- Hello, again. Have you seen this version of the Macedonian COA? It is from the Official newspaper of the Republic of Macedonia. Regards--MacedonianBoy (talk) 15:58, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Changes to the COA of Macedonia
[edit]Hello Bugoslav. Since we are the only one here who care about the Macedonian COA, I would like to inform you that a new COA of Macedonia is being discussed in the Government of the Macedonia. The final version will be released soon, I have made the svg version of the new COA but I am waiting to the final decisions of the government. If the Government describes the colours and the design of the COA, that version will be uploaded here. Regards, --MacedonianBoy (talk) 10:38, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info, but I watch MKTV often and have seen the promotional video (reklama) of the Government of Macedonia which showed the yellow version. Also I have noticed that you have tryed to remove the five-pointed red star, which is great, but premature. One thing bothers me, namely, you have listed the kanal5 as your source, but not complied with the source completely. Namely, the source used yellow poppy buds, so if you could explain, or elaborate why did you "misquote" the source? If the Macedonian Government would still use brown poppy buds I will use whatever source which would prove to be official, not the passports, ID-card or simmilar OR. -- Bugoslav (talk) 01:54, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- In any case, my vote goes to en:File:Proposal CoA MK.svg. It is very nice, I would say the best :) -- Bugoslav (talk) 02:07, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Question?
[edit]Hey, how are you? I see you uploaded Montenegrin president flag, are you sure it's true? As I never saw President having any other flag than official state flag of Montenegro. And from where you got the flag image? Thanks in advance! Cheers!

Tip: Categorizing images
[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.CategorizationBot (talk) 10:38, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for correction
[edit]Thanks for correcting Category:Vanja Radauš. As I do not know your language, I just copy/paste the info of the page I found. File:Radaus.jpg did not have a category so I tried to find one. As there were more images of statues made by Vanja Radauš I found it useful to create a category. It would be nice to have a free photo of the man himself. On Google I found http://www.tz-vinkovci.hr/VANJA%20RADAUS.jpg. As you know the language may be you can find it easier than I. Regards, Wouter (talk) 13:55, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Unblock
[edit]User:DIREKTOR started his campaign for a global block here at Commons, because of my block on en:wiki. I must say that this is harrasment, and wikihounding, because what happens at one wiki project doesn't neccesarily mean that it will happen at another project.
This report was made at the very eve of the New year (Revision as of 2010-01-01T00:12:18) just 12 minutes after midnight (server time).
The complete discussion is listed here. From that discussion it is clear that two administrators looked into the case, and haven't decided to block.
I hope that DieBuche who blocked me at 2010-07-08T10:28:29, 24 minutes after the second report by User:DIREKTOR, had previously contacted Zscout370 who blocked Imbris.
DIREKTOR's second attempt (the current attempt) has also happened when his path crossed that of mine. His report [2] [3] doesn't mention the fact that he attempted it before without success.
Also his rude defamation of both me, and other projects where I mostly work is proposterous.

— DIREKTOR, 2010-07-08T09:40:59
Yes, I used an alternative account on en:wiki, because DIREKTOR and his comrades followed me around en:wiki on en:Maltese (dog) and elsewhere, particularly en:Prince Aimone, Duke of Aosta and en:Hey, Slavs. I was unable to edit normally because of wikihounding, and thus decided to move along. But I couldn't help myself when I saw what POV pushing DIREKTOR has done at en:Coat of arms of Croatia.

Honestly, you should look into the DIREKTOR's contributions where he uploaded onto existing files, and then reverted to the previous ones:
- File:Flag of the Federal State of Croatia.svg (involved in edit war with Drieskamp)
- File:Coat of Arms of SFR Yugoslavia.svg (uploaded new version then reverted himself)
- File:Coat of Arms of SFR Yugoslavia - 1943-1963.svg (the same)
- File:Naval Jack of SFR Yugoslavia.svg (the same)
- File:Standard of the President of SFR Yugoslavia.svg (the same)
- File:Standard of the President of the Federal Assembly of SFR Yugoslavia.svg
- File:Standard of the Prime Minister of SFR Yugoslavia.png (file without any real source, made from the false pretence that PM of the federal govt of SFRY had a flag)
- File:Naval Ensign of Yugoslavia 1920.svg (deliberate changing of a flag, for which DIREKTOR has no sources, if he wanted to upload a new version that is his perogative, but not uploading onto the work that other two users made)
- File:Naval ensign of DF Yugoslavia 1942.png (file without sources, based onto the false belief that all flags must have had an irregular shaped red star)
- File:Flag of Croatia (1990).svg (DIREKTOR's edit war, with false pretences, inserted the Yugoslav colour onto the flag of Croatia)
- File:Coat of arms of Croatia (1868-1918) with crown.svg (uploaded his version, then reverted)
- File:Flag of the of Kingdom of Dalmatia, Slavonia and Croatia (1868-1918).svg (the same)
- File:Flag of the Socialist Republic of Croatia.svg (uploaded File:Flag of SR Croatia.svg onto the the sourced work of others, with false description of what he has done)
- File:Flag of SR Croatia stored at WIPO.jpg (destroying an archival source from WIPO, that has been uploaded by me, directly from the source, DIREKTOR is known for that kind of work. Namely, the misinterpretation of sources)
- File:Flag of the Republic of Croatia in 1990.svg (pure assertion of his own beliefs onto the file made by others and used at hr:wiki without any objections)
- File:CoA of SR Croatia.png (DIREKTOR used File:SR Croatia coa.png that was made by User:Romanm, but he (DIREKTOR) listed himself as the author, and also listed the file as his own)
Every of those incidents show the complete and utter not understanding of how Commons work, namely Commons store files that are needed at other Wikimedia projects. Commons do not decide, but local projects, what files they choose to use. DIREKTOR, with his colour changes made a considerable number of edits, that are not sourced. Look at those incidents where he (at first) asserted the Yugoslav (pan-Slavic) colour, and then reverted it.
Sadly, he has not reverted such POV from Croatian flags from the 1990s.
I hope that DieBuche would see through DIREKTOR's real goal, and that is = annihilation of all oposition. He doesn't believe, that every side should have its say, nor that sources really matter. Look what he has done with the File:Flag of SR Croatia stored at WIPO.jpg - a file that is not made by me, but just uploaded to show an archival source from WIPO, a source that was made by the then federal Yugoslav government, which asked WIPO to store it (and transfer to other member states of WIPO. -- Bugoslav (talk) 09:51, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Copyright status: File:Coat of arms of the Republic of Macedonia 1991-2009.svg
[edit]This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Coat of arms of the Republic of Macedonia 1991-2009.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with GFDL to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with PD-self to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |
