Girondins de Bordeaux kits 2000-2004

Hi Bruno, thanks for helping me out with the 2010-11 Bruges kit lately (the only one that was missing, really). Now since I've been updating the seasonal pages of Club Brugge and RSC Anderlecht, the two biggest teams in Belgian football history (as far as trophies is concerned) I've spotted a few historical gaps that could be filled if possible, the most urgent of which is the Girondins de Bordeaux team of the 2000s. During the 2002-03 UEFA Cup knock-out stage, Anderlecht played Bordeaux. They eliminated Bordeaux before Panathinaikos sent them off the European stage. A year later, Bruges played Bordeaux in the 2003-04 UEFA Cup knock-out stage. Girondins de Bordeaux eliminated Bruges. What I've been doing is specifically adding the European matches with match sheets so people can envision these games in their minds without having to look the matches up instantly (which is basically the whole idea behind what you're doing). It's historically important (what you're doing). I've been doing this mainly for the Dutch Wikipedia or the Dutch readers but of course readers from other areas can get to see the information as well. Now I got myself out of trouble with what was available but it isn't really doing the job.

To cut to the chase...

This is what I've been using for their European kit of 2003-04;

There are many problems with this. The colors are totally inaccurate and pretty much everything that was on the shirt is missing; it's way brighter wine red than this and collar is not there along with the adidas logo above the arrow down. Just to name a few. The Girondins de Bordeaux kits are Adidas kits. Girondins de Bordeaux switched to Puma in 2004 (?) but before that they had a deal with Adidas. I found the 1999-2000 kits and they actually look accurate although they lack the Adidas logo. But then, there is a void. 2000 to 2004 or four seasons to be more specific.

What I found for that period (almost nothing, really) does not exactly match the Girondins de Bordeaux kits as they used to look like. From 2000 to 2004 basically the whole lot is missing from the database. I'll send a complete list of all the kits that I'd need to finish my Bruges / Anderlecht project soon. Not that many kits, about four teams and all of them season specific. Besiktas 2006-07 home, away and third made by Umbro. Those kits are just a little glimpse. Girondins de Bordeaux is a different matter, in my opinion. Girondins de Bordeaux was one of the best teams in France at the time but these kits are missing from the database. I reckon that at the time Lyon and perhaps Auxerre and Marseille were better. They were equal in level to PSG, at least. They enjoyed some long, successful European campaigns.

Girondins de Bordeaux were among the best teams of the French Ligue 1 consisted of Ulrich Ramé in goal, and Christophe Dugarry, Pascal Feindouno, Eduardo Costa, Pauleta, Albert Celades and Albert Riera among others. I'd say these are in fact urgent. It would not only be nice for this project of mine but in a broader sense to the French football fans if those kits were (finally) there. It so happened that I "tripped over it" as I made progression with my own project. It would honestly benefit the French football fans more than anybody else.

As far as my project for the Dutch Wikipedia is concerned. Girondins de Bordeaux played Anderlecht, Club Bruges and all other European opponents wearing a distinctive kit European kit. Rather unique patterns by adidas. Specifically we're talking the 2002-03 and 2003-04 third kit. I was thinking, that might sound interesting to Bruno. In my opinion the Girondins de Bordeaux kits from the early noughties are a work of art and they are cult kits. Nowhere else on the planet (?) could you see those stripes in a small black rectangle lower half of the sleeves (2002-03 european kit). Not to mention the 'reflective' sleeves mirroring the torso part on either side (2003-04 european kit). Adidas logo is in the middle of the shirt above their characteristic arrow down apart from the 2003-04 home kit where it is on the left under the arrow. Strictly speaking, I would need every part of the kits (apart from socks). It would be a nice challenge for you to recreate these kits and fill a gap that has been there for a while (but probably no one ever asked you?)

Club Brugge K.V. goalkeeper kits 2018-2024

Hi Bruno,

I guess when the following kits are done, then Club Brugge K.V. would be complete up until 2024. Club Brugge goalkeeper kits manufactured by Macron from recent years are largely absent.

Would you consider making the kit you designed lighter as the kit is much lighter in truth.

Alternatively, can you overwrite Kit_shorts_arsenal2425t2 to reflect the shade of blue you used for the Third kit?
