- I am having some problems with trying to have an image "legally" published in Wikipedia (sticky rice in bamboo section). That image (Lao Khao Lam variations) was obtained with permission (by electronic message) from a photographer/owner who has a stock of images in this Facebook account. After uploading it, Wikipedia requested for the copyright license for this image. I then addressed the question to the image owner, who replied that there is his name and his Facebook link at the left corner of the image (he has not registered his images for copyright license; maybe the photography Watermark for him is considered a copyright). This apparently is not enough for Wikipedia who requires a copyright license. What is the proper process that I should have taken? Should I request a formal permission letter from him with his signature, and then use the letter to apply for a copyright license with Wikipedia Creative Commons? Thanks in advance.
