The gateway to the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah, situated in Agra, India.

Hello! Recently i am hunting down old historic images of India and uploading them here. I came across this one and wondered if it can be a featured picture? The image is of a high resolution and fits the criteria. But that's the only criteria i can check as i have little knowledge of photography. Je suis content que la présentation vous plaise à tous ^_^ − même si, en effet, je n’ai pas eu l’occasion de la montrer à Didier car je l’ai terminée le matin même dans l’Eurostar >_< − Il y avait malheureusement peu de public à cette présentation ; mais des personnes présentes j’ai eu plusieurs échos comme quoi “les photos sont vraiment superbes” ;-) ; et d’autre comme quoi le projet est génial, bien qu’ils n’en aient pas entendu parler avant.

Bonsoir, Merci pour tes encouragements. Toutes les images sont sur fond millimétré, que se soit de la botanique de l'oologie ou de l'entomo. Seules les photos pour publications scientifique garde ce fond. Les autres sont systématiquement détourées. Un repère d'échelle, le plus discret possible, est rajouté. Wiki n'est pas le lieu de publication mais celui de la diffusion de la connaissance.

J'ai proposé la "Vénus hottentote" en FP, et je me heurte à des opinions épidermiques auxquelles je m'attendais, mais qui me font douter.

Je ne réclame bien sûr pas de ta part un vote de soutien, mais je sollicite l'expression de ton opinion de scientifique sur le sujet, et si possible ton aide, avec des arguments, car j'en finis par hésiter sur l'opportunité de ma proposition.

Message reçu. Je trouve gentiment provocatrice, quand on connait le coin (j'ai passé quelques étés juste sur la plage du débarquement des émigrés), sa statue sur la place à Quiberon, dont il est bien précisé qu'elle fut érigée par les "Républicains de la presqu'île"...

Mais j'ai un très gros pépin: le disque dur de mon Mac a pété chez moi vendredi, je ne peux plus rien faire, c'est mort. Heureusement, il faisait partie de la série annoncée défectueuse, donc ils le remplacent gratuitement, mais j'en ai pour une douzaine de jours. Et il faudra que je reconstitue certaines archives non sauvegardées.

Donc là, je bricole comme je peux avec les autres engins disponibles (...et même un peu au bureau, chtttt...), mais c'est forcément plus lent, très lent (et ça m'agace compte tenu des trésors que je trouve !). C'est ce qui explique mon silence récent de ce week-end. Et j'ai vergogne à juger les images des autres depuis une tablette...

C’est un point d’héraldique intéressant. En fait les armes de la famille étaient à l’origine les 3 bourses. Mais Charles le téméraire avait permis à Bartolomeo de rajouter les fasces de Bourgogne à ses armes. Elles sont ici mal représentées : le lambel manque (probablement à dessin, on passe des armes de Bourgogne à celle de France). Dranem, réponse

Ah les p'tits pois les p'tits pois les p'tits pois... ...Quelque chose me disait que ça te plairait... Je regrette que la photo d'origine de la BNF ne soit pas bonne, mais le sujet vaut quand même le coup, je crois. Même si c'est, si l'on peut dire, "Dranem avant Dranem" (1895).

Tout comme pour Hoche, ce sont des images rares, que j'ai traitées avec le soin et le respect qui leur sont dus. Je suis content d'en faire profiter "Commons", même si, crois-moi, ça demande un boulot d'enfer !

J'ai récupéré mon Imac après son "crash" mortel, et j'ai donc ainsi pu bien m'amuser ce week end !

Naturellement, d'autres images grand format sont en préparation, déjà choisies et mises de côté. Pour les plus petits formats, je "pioche" dans des albums d'époque, absolument délicieux, comme ce Fiel-Castel que tu as comme moi découvert, et dont j'ai trouvé le look "impayable", tant il ressemble au personnage !! (Du coup, j'ai commencé à lire ses mémoires, tjs sur Gallica, et en effet, pour l'époque, ça décoiffe...)

• I appreciate that this is a pretty image in thumb or review size. But there should be a clear difference between an image where parts of the organism are altered/missing through post-processing and background removal versus images that are missing parts through unfortunate crops. I don't want to push the image I gave as an example, I just picked one out.
