Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hello, Appaches!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Géopolitique de la Russie

Bonjour. A propos de la carte [1], vous avez changé les couleurs, très bien, mais il faut aussi les changer en légende (en svg je ne peux pas le faire, Inkskape ne voulant pas de mon vieux système Mac Lépoard). Par ailleurs, parmi les ex-RSS reconnues par la Russie, il manque la Moldavie. Et parmi les non-RSS reconnues seulement par d'autres territoires non-RSS, il manque la Nouvelle-Russie dans l'Est de l'Ukraine (reconnue par l'Ossétie du Sud). La Suisse ne fait pas partie de l’UE !

Corrections sur annotations du dessin de l’œil.

Bonjour, Vous serait-il possible de corriger trois petits problèmes orthographiques sur votre dessin intitulé "Eye Central Heterochromia (2).jpg" ? Il s'agit de "pupille" et non pas pupile, de "caroncule lacrimale" au lieu de lacrymale et de "paupière inférieure" au lieu de infériure. Cordialement.--Tyerabla (talk) 20:56, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

License of SVG Cycling Jerseys

Dear Appaches, You uploaded a cycling jersey SVG icon to Wikimedia Commons. Great work, thanks for that! It is the file:Jersey green 2.svg .

However, the shape is exactly the same as the file:Jersey yellow.svg that I created, and uploaded under CC-BY-SA. This means that if you create derivative works, you must

1. credit the original creator(s), and
2. share it under the same license

You did not credit me as the original author of the work you made a derivative of.

Could you make changes to the images you uploaded? You can do this very simply by adding the following line to the icons you originally created (and removing the current license template line)

{{Self |1= cc-by-sa-4.0|author=Appaches |attribution= Shape based upon [[:file:Jersey yellow.svg]] by [[User:IIVQ]]}}

and if there is a summary table, change the line that reads |source={{own}} with a line that reads something like

|source={{own}} Shape based upon [[:file:Jersey yellow.svg]] by [[User:IIVQ]]

If you based this icon on another icon than File:Jersey yellow.svg, you can substitute that and credit the creator thereof as well as the authors of the work they based their work on.

Rivière > fleuve

Hi! I would kindly ask you to please correct on this map you created the mention "Fleuve Pô" instead of "Rivière", because it flows into the sea, the Adriatic in particular. Thank you! Tenam (talk) 15:09, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
