Token (railway)
[edit]Hallo, I am not sure if the token is railway signalling. Token is an instrument for securing of the railway traffic, but it does not show any signal to the enginedriver. --PetrS. (talk) 21:47, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- In UK practice at least, they are installed in signalboxes, used by signalmen, and are the responsibility of the signalling department.
- Whatever they are, the category Category:Rail transport safety is, as I stated, simply too broad.
- Put them somewhere, but put them somewhere more precise than "safety". Andy Dingley (talk) 22:29, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- It seems to be the best Category:Rail transport traffic control. What do you mean? --PetrS. (talk) 12:16, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
- Category:Rail transport traffic control is a super-category for everything including timetables. Token and block instruments should be in their own sub-categories of Category:Railway signalling. Andy Dingley (talk) 12:51, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
