That image was not a duplicate, the colors and resoultion are very different. Please restore that image. Also note that the deletion guidelines says that only exact or scaled-down duplicates can be speedy deleted, other "almost duplicates" or "redundant files" has be nominated for deletion on Commons:Deletion requests. It is your responsibility as an admin to make sure that duplicates you delete really are duplicates (same color, same cropping, same quality,...). And if you have to delete non-exact duplicates anyway, please use a more specific reason than "Duplicate, but NOT an exact duplicate". /Ö 22:42, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

But it had smaller size that other image. That's why I delete it as scaled-down image. If you think that it must be restored, I may do it.--Ahonc (talk) 15:28, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

It is not just size that matters. I think the deleted file was large enough to be used in Wikipedia articles, and it had (in my opinion) better colors. Other users may have other opinions, but that is why Commons should keep both images so that individual projects can make their own choice of which image to use. The colors of a image does not change by just scaling it, so a scaled down image would have the same color as the larger file. If I remember correctly the deleted file looked more like en:Image:Romanovcoronation.jpg (which I think is probably a scaled-down version of the deleted image. Here is a comparison between the image at en.wp and a scaled-down version of the kept file here, you can see that there are other differences than just size.) /Ö 23:42, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Stahlkocher images

Hi! When deleting the unknown-images, please keep an eye on images where the name 'Stahlkocher' is mentioned. Details see here: Commons:Administrators'_noticeboard/Attention#Images_of_User:Stahlkocher. I luckily noticed it before I also clicked on delete, so I have restored the few that were deleted by you. Вопрос

У меня наконец дошли руки до фотоальбома туриста из Каппадокии, я вас как-то спрашивала[1], и я выставила их к удалению[2]. Но всю эту "красотищу", включая вот это Image:Cappadocia 038 n.jpg и это image:Cappadocia 082 n.jpg оставили. Как-то очень странно, ведь ценности в них ни энциклопедической (как раз делаю статьи ru:Каппадокия, ru:История Каппадокии, ru:Культура Каппадокии и начинаю Пещерные дома Каппадокии - там надо много иллюстраций, но вот такая фигня нафиг не сдалась), ни декоративной - красоты никакой. Я не понимаю, коммонс - это что, личный фотоальбом? Я же не все его фотки выставила, те, где есть опознаваемый каппадокийский пейзаж я не трогала. Мне кажется, это обсуждение по удаленным фотографиям было закрыто преждевременно. Можно что-то сделать? --Shakko (talk) 07:47, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Я спросил у админа, который подвёл итог "Оставить". Он сказал, что нужно было написать Mass deletion request (то есть много изображений в одном запросе), а не выставлять 50 запросов с одинаквой причиной.--Ahonc (talk) 21:15, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Category:Ternopil lake

Ви кажете,що у енциклопедії не має бути помилок,я Вам назвав вашу помилку,але Ви не хочете її виправляти,а ще кажете що я вандал.Я Вам казав,що Lake це-озеро,а pond-став,але виправити її можна лише змінивши в Уквікіпедії назву статті Тернопільський став на Тернопільське озеро,тому що Ternopil pond ну ніяк не звучить і жоден гість(читач) з іншої країни не зрозуміє чому у енциклопедії категорія називається Ternopil pond,а на всіх інших джерелах Ternopil lake!
