Thanks for uploading File:JLB Television.png. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

File:JLB Television.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Time Zone in Xinjiang, China

[edit]

Hi. I found a version of File:UTC hue4map X world Robinson.png uploaded by you marked the time zone of Xinjiang, China as a mixture of UTC+8 and UTC+6. But the official time zone in China is UTC+8. I searched the web, and found no references shows that China has changed Xinjiang's time zone. Could you please tell me that why you made this edit? --TechyanTalk16:03, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings.

Turkey and Northern Cyprus have abolished daylight saving and are permanently fixed on en:UTC+3 (en:Further-eastern European Time). (Also Crimea has not been updated in some of these files which is also permanently fixed on UTC+3.) See the news and sources. Can you change these files accordingly?

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 31.200.22.58 (talk) 00:10, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have found sources for Northern Cyprus: http://famagusta-gazette.com/cyprus-will-have-two-time-zones-from-next-month-p36121-69.htm http://www.rte.ie/news/2016/0908/815258-turkey-daylight-saving/ http://www.news24.com/Green/News/turkey-scraps-winter-clock-change-20160908 http://cyprus-mail.com/2016/09/09/un-two-sides-will-decide-address-time-zone-problem/ if you wish to change the files. If not, thank you anyway. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 31.200.22.58 (talk) 19:17, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Greetings and sorry to bother you.
In the File:Time Zones of the Middle East.svg could you change the color for Northern Cyprus which followed Turkey thus reflecting the latest change, and could you also either get rid of the neighboring countries shaded in gray or include all of them? The map doesn't look aesthetically pretty with some of the neighboring countries missing in the map. It looks like a jigsaw puzzle missing its pieces.
Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 31.200.8.98 (talk) 23:15, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Update requests for North Korea and Sao Tomé and Principe time zones

[edit]

Hello.

Can you also update North Korea which changed back its time zone to UTC+9 and/or Sao Tomé and Principe which changed its time zone to UTC+1 in:

Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 31.200.15.157 (talk) 19:41, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.
Can you do the same update in File:Worldwide Time Zones (including DST).png by coloring Morocco (except the areas controlled by SADR/POLISARIO) in yellow, because that country abolished daylight saving and is permanently on UTC+0. It is a supplementary map (the written version) of File:UTC hue4map X world Robinson.png and every update needs to be made in both maps.
Thank you.

Please give more descriptive comments when uploading new versions of the Forms of government.svg file

[edit]

Thanks for your improvements to the Forms of government.svg file, but I would like to request that you give better comments than just "G" when you upload a new version. I had to look at the file and the previous version side-by-side in order to figure out what you changed (the colour of Georgia), which is a waste of time when you could save everyone the time by giving a better comment. I hope this to be constructive criticism, because I do appreciate your improvements to the file, I just want to make it easier to follow what you're doing with your edits. Thanks for uploading File:White and Asian woman panties.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:White and Asian woman panties.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Hello.

File:UTC hue4map X world Robinson - explicit offsets.png (version with text) needs to be updated, because Norfolk Island returned to daylight saving in 2019, after a 9 year period, and Yukon abolished daylight saving in 2019. Thus they both need to be colored accordingly.

Can you do the same changes that you did for Norfolk Island and Yukon like you did in File:UTC hue4map X world Robinson.png (version without text?

These two maps are supplementary versions of each other. And when a change is made in one map, the same change must also be made in the other map. Furthermore, both maps are widely used across Wikipedia in many articles, which is another reason for both to be updated at the same time, when changes occur.

(Can you also color Yukon in gray in File:Horario de verano (Fechas de cambio).png for the same above mentioned reason?)

Another time zone map request

All versions of the world time zone map before the one on 27 June 2017 correctly had two pixels in Northwestern Ontario coloured yellow, because the towns of Atikokan and Pickle Lake observe Eastern Time year round.
