David Shapinsky, Ph.D. , Founder. As the head of Shapinsky MultiMedia, a production and consulting business, he has worked with various clients on a variety of projects involving multimedia and communications strategy, information management, as well as production services. Among Shapinsky MultiMedia's recent clients are The Salzburg Seminar, The National Medical Association, Capitol News Connection with PRI, and Howard University's Genome Center. Prior to launching this business, Shapinsky served as Senior Producer for PBS station, WHUT, in Washington, D.C. He has been in broadcast and multimedia journalism for more than a decade. He established the webcasting service for kaisernetwork.org (for the Kaiser Family Foundation) and has produced for public radio, public television, and network news, including such shows as PrimeTime Live, 20/20, World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, and Nightline. His program credits include documentaries, news broadcasts, talk shows, town-meetings, webcasts, and articles for print. He received his Ph.D. in American history from the University of Chicago in 1990, where he specialized in U.S. foreign policy and international history.
