User:Rhododendrites/Birds of New York
Pictures of birds of New York. I've been birding in New York for a few years now, but became much more active taking pictures shortly after the pandemic began. I started this page as a sort of visual counterpart to regional birding checklists. So as I upload pictures of new species (or better pictures of existing species), I'll add them here. Admittedly, some of the pictures are pretty poor and included here just for the journey to completeness (Kentucky warbler comes to mind). I've created a potato template just for this purpose. :) Also including a few videos, although I'm usually without a tripod or microphone, so the quality is mixed. Not included: any picture taken outside of New York, regardless of whether it's a species found in NY.
Current species count: 247. Lots of work to do.
