[edit]Indian Society of Landscape Architects (ISOLA), a professional body of Landscape Architects, was established in May, 2003. It is registered under the Indian Society’s Act, 1860, (sec 21, registration number no. 9557) and Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 (sec 29- registration no. A 9417).The society has over 360 members from different states of the country and some from across the world. The society is at the forefront in creating a global awareness about the fast emerging profession of Landscape Architecture and promoting and enhancing the professional excellence among its members in India.
ISOLA is a member of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA). [|IFLA ]IFLA-Asia Pacific.
The mission of ISOLA is to nurture and enhance the profession of landscape architecture by providing leadership in the creation of artful design in our man made, cultural and natural environments. The Society aims to promote a high standard of professional service in application of the art and science of Landscape Architecture / Landscape Design, and to promote and conserve natural resources. Currently it has 11 chapters. The First Ever international conference of IFLA APR was hosted in 2005 in Mumbai.
The ISOLA Maharashtra Chapter was Formed in July 2018 with over 170 members. Two national ISOLA conferences were hosted by Landscape Architects of Pune region in 2007 and 2014 led to the formation of Chapter with a purpose to bring together all the professionals of the State together on single platform and connect them with the region.Isola-MH
ISOLA has been collaborating with NASA (National Association of Students of Architecture)to instigate the importance of Landscape among the students of Architecture by organizing workshops and sponsoring a trophy. NASA
