Vereya is a historic small town in Naro-Fominsky district of Moscow Oblast, Russia, around 100 kilometers west from the center of Moscow.
Symbols
[edit]Верея (Vereya), is an archaic Russian word for a wooden post or column supporting the gate. The coat of arms, granted in 1782, features two such posts with gates and golden hinges "as befitting the name of the town".
