I am a wildlife photographer and wildlife biologist with a long interest in whales, particularly the North Pacific Right Whale (Eubalaena japonica), and wild canids (wolves, jackals, etc). I volunteer as the webmaster of the IUCN Canid Specialist Group (www.canids.org). I am generally willing and happy to allow use of my photos without charge for conservation or educational uses. My wildlife photos appear both at http://www.pbase.com/jimscarff/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/jimscarff/.

I am particularly interested in gathering for educational and conservation use anyone's photos or historical images of:

  - North Pacific Right Whale (Eubalaena japonica) primarily for use in Wikipedia or on my webpage if folks need more copyright control
  - Lesser known canid species (e.g. dhole, Blanford's fox, Bush dog, crab-eating fox, etc) for use in Wikipedia or Flickr in the group Field Guide: Wild Canids of the World (http://www.flickr.com/groups/canidguide/).

I live in Berkeley, California, where it is almost never dull.
