I'm pleased that we have a shared database of images for all language-WPs. I still remember how, in antiquity, we had to laboriously copy images between language-versions of WP by cross-downloading them fro-and-to one, and uploading them again to another. Thank goodness that's all behind us now.

My aim here is to clarify some of the captions and by adding information that might not be obvious on the photo, mainly by transcribing inscriptions and identifying buildings. It's beneficial b/c

• This adds keywords for search engine optimization.
• L2 readers may be unfamiliar with certain fonts or scripts.
• It improves accessibility for visually impaired users.
