Wikimedia Commons is a repository of free (think Linux, Firefox, OpenOffice, Wikipedia) images, sounds, and videos. If you have a login, you can upload your files right now!

Note : Whatever you upload has to be created by you, for example, a photo you took yourself. So no uploading random images from the web, no scans or photos of images created by others. The only exceptions are things that are in the public domain, or that are already under a free license, or where you have written permission.

Also : This is not flickr. Don't upload pictures of random people, yourself, your best friend, unless they have some (educational) significance. Hint: If a picture could be used to illustrate Wikipedia, it is usually OK.

If your file has issues with copyright or significance, it will be deleted!
