The Current record is 755 wpm, which was broken in december 2011 by Harley Huke.

Capo set the first record on June 5, 1990 at the Guinness Museum in Las Vegas, speaking 603.32 words in 54.2 seconds.[2] She first broke the record speaking 585 words-per-minute (wpm) on Larry King Live on March 5, 1986.
