Activities
[edit]Hello to all. Geraldshields11 (talk) 02:31, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
This should link to my EN Wikipedia user page. See that user page for COI statements.
I participated in numerous photographic competitions. I participated in the various edit-o-thon. Several of my photographs have been used in non-profit, commercial, and non-commercial publications.
Photo Policy
[edit]I have a photo policy: If you are in a photograph that I take, and you do not like it, you can propose to delete it and I will not contest. Just tag it as {{delete|per w:EN:User:Geraldshields11's photograph policy}}
. Please add appropriate captions to my photographs. I am trying to fight systemic bias on Wikipedia or WikiCommons.
Wiki Event Photographs
[edit]- Do not turn the photo into something it is not.[1][2]
- Capture context.[3]
- Take photos at different angles.[4]
- Take multiple photos of the same subject.[5] One of the photos is bound to be good.[6]
- The need for speed and the poised pose in front of no one.[7]
- Eyes.[8]
- 3/4 turn to the camera.[9]
- Talk to subject.[10]
- Capture the best side or, at least, the context.[11][12]
- Up Close is an event.[13]
- When in all else fails, break these suggestions.
